Asking the World

Sitting here writing
as my brain swirls
with pain and confusion.
Wanting nothing,
but peace,
peace in life,
   peace with people,
         Peace of mind,
needing so little,
but asking the world.

Something so small
that few find it,
and many kill for it.
How can it be found
through violence?

Peace,
being one with all.
Where can it exist
that centuries of people
haven't found it?
If it does, how will
   I find it?

Does it only exist
in one place
that can only
    be entered once?
Will I have to,
to keep my sanity?
