Notes About The Poem

Ask, Seek and Knock

Pray for your light to shine
	Glorious Son beams so bright
So that everyone who sees you
	Shall yearn to grow closer
Not to you – but to Him
	The One who lives within

Pray for joy to fill your heart
	So that everyone you see
Hopes to know the One you know
	The answer to every need
The promise that never fails to bring peace

Pray for your spirit to sing a song
Of faith that fills up every thought
Assurance that God’s one and only Son
Will bring you through whatever obstruction
Any place where you feel completely troubled

Pray for the grace that will be with you
When you reach out to others around you
Whispering mercy that comes from on high
Welcoming the chance to be a true friend
To someone who needs a taste of kindness

Pray for those who are lost and lonely, afraid
Filled with anxiety, depression and pain
The ones who God can bring through the storm
Into the light, where He will reassure
And lead them into a relationship with His Son

Pray for the many who know nothing of love
Those who God can touch with second chances
And heal from all the dread of disease and disgrace
Those that need Him more than they know
Because without him, they have no real hope

Pray for the light to shine in your eyes
Sparkling with hope, faith and love
A spirit of goodness that comes from God’s Son
The One who forgives and gives us
Today, tomorrow and eternity in paradise.

Matthew 7:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Regina, what a talent you are. You exhibit such care for others who are lost, needy and afraid! Our world is loaded with them acting out Lives with grand bravado. They do not know they are lost! As I write this, does TV really have to advertise underwear? Gee! Love Panagiota

Thanks so much, Panagiota - God gives me the words and I give them back to Him. There is so much evil in the world, but I'm grateful for God's Son, my everything. I love you and pray for you - You're a blessing
