Aside

Long time ago
I last saw you
Bittersweet goodbye

So close
But nothing to say
Looking sideways
Breakaway to our lives

Sitting down
Sun rays on my face
Waking me up
Reality I want to look away

Feeling regrets
Yearning to go back
Memories we laugh
Eyes on each other
Smiling wide
Ear to ear

I just cannot keep up
With you
Fearing
For ugly ending
Should not happen any longer

Whenever I miss you
Switching on
Recorder plays
Tunes of your voice
To keep me still and calm

Smiling at your smile
Nodding every word you say
Laughing the jokes you display

A way to hugging me
Falling asleep
That warm tones

Though tears fall down
Knowing when I wake up
Just a sweet daze dream
You are not here
Out there with someone else
Who deserves you

All I can do
As a good friend
Standing aside to see you rise
Way beyond
Of our lives

Being glad
You were once in my life
Beside me...

I am finding many of your poems ---anther good one. Hurt and hope seem ubiquitous. Career or Love? No need to choose just one, right?
