Ashes

On the coldest nights I reach for her warmth among chilling black shadows the embers in my heart glow for her fiery soul From spark to flame from ashes I rise for love to blossom to be born again into something radiant Thinking I was wise wary of her flames somehow I knew I could survive her fire love scorches sometimes I have been a phoenix before every time love burns I find a way to rise again Deep inside I knew we were embers from the same blazing heart of purpose and desire reduced to ashes Always scattered to the wind once again finding your jasmine scent they come back to fall into the pyre again Love is an eternal flame never completely fading so love when I die please mingle our ashes to bury us together...
