The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Ash and Diamond

What worth is the gold
if the glow blinds your eye?

Why dig for the diamond
when I am buried when I find it?

What is the warmth of the fire
if it sets a blaze upon the house?

Why sing the song when
nobody wishes to listen?

What is this freedom
when bondage was paradise?
