As You Cast the First Stone

Yes, maybe you could wear my shoes Perhaps you’d walk and last all day. As light relief it might amuse Skills for my life you may display. I’m sure some insights you could gain Perhaps you’d walk a thousand miles. Grasp sound knowledge of my domain Then lay judgement upon my trials. No. My life is one to live and breathe To be transported from the womb. Immerse so deep as if to wreathe A value buffet to consume. No simple taste shall ever prove Nor give a case to disapprove.
*Technically it's not a sonnet with the extra line

Well, it is sure a fine poem if not a pure sonnet. I really like this one, Mark. Its message is so profound.

Thank you Andrea, hopefully not overly obscure. : )

I love this, it is simple enough until the single word 'no', then it powerfully kicks in with a splendid 'tell off.' Love it, truly ... CayCay 7

This sort of ties in with "Jealousy of Circumstance" same line of thinking same resigned annoyance/tolerance.

There was a newspaper article recently entitled "Two year drought runs farmer off land", it's a story about a mate of mine. I couldn't believe the online criticism, hate and nastiness that came out. I don't understand why people hate farmers or anyone for that matter. This is my reaction and feelings to that.

That's right Mark, we all are unique. Nobody can wear your shoes. They only fit you, custom made by God. Love the write.

Cheers Daniel, so many times we can be critical of the others in this world, whether it be on race, religion, or class. We may not understand their choices but they have had their entire life lead up to the choices they make.
