As Words Fall Silent
A gentle kiss that seems to stroke the skin,
As barely felt as a feathered caress,
So tender it wakens the soul within,
As from the noisy world two hearts digress.
A whispered word that begs to kiss ‘til morn
The tender sound that sets our nerves in flame,
Long held beliefs in love’s certainty dawn
With a reality that knows no shame.
Yet in a kiss two hearts beat wild and free,
As souls meet then as one being entwine
Our dreams revealed our love to you and me,
How could we know we would touch the divine?
No more words are said as we now embrace,
One single kiss and love has found its place.
