As We Pray In Unity
Clouds become the sky to see
Gray and white swirling above me
Thoughts change with things externally
In a world gripped by uncertainty
Where are the answers that seem to flee?
In a time we all need them desperately
I walk in familiar calmness to be
Ready for anything beyond each tree
In a nightmare it's hard to be happy
Dealing with deaths increasing daily
Others before us, lived horrific similarity
Maybe, we thought we'd always be free
But now, we wish for life, a simple bumblebee
To visit the yard and buzz around in glee
Something, anything, pieces of beauty
Heal us now, as we pray in unity!
