As We Disappeared
When love leaves us, where does it go?
Is Love an element with a Heart of its own?
Maybe Love tires of us, seeking solace in new Hearts.
Do I find it on the rebound?
Do I check the lover's Lost and Found?
Did I do something wrong? Did I not love you strong?
Should isolation be my fate? Should I have chosen a different mate?
Do I question the validity of my power to Love?
Does Love question the validity of my power?
30 and 6 years of melting memories sharing
the Good, the Bad, the Ugly, the End.
Once heartfelt passions digressed to
evasive emotions--crippling communication
splintered sex--separate quarters and
finally Alienation to the 3rd Degree.
Yet in this final demise, I decry this decree.
Do I wander in measureless time following its folly aimlessly?
or do I find a middle path-one of transformation?
Never running on Empty, while living loss free.
