As the Stars twinkle
As I look to the Stars,
I see your eyes,
Remembering all those,
Long summer nights.
My memories of you,
Are almost like dreams,
As I see all the years go by.
My heart aches as I wish,
It was a different time, A different place.
I notice the stars as they twinkle,
Bringing a smile to my face,
As if you are watching,
All the way from above.
I smile as my heart breaks,
Missing you, when I see,
A star shines brighter,
Lighting up the whole sky.
A single tear falls as I continue,
To look to the skies.
