As the Moon Sets
As the Moon Sets
in a quiet place you have found me, sighing
a tranquil morning of pastel that sees you blushing
I sit serene in your healing feminine fellowship
letting the gift of this moment reverberate within
link my spirit to your divine senescence cadence
as the goddess of rebirth swirls amid interlaced tales
no sacrifice laid but flowers sweetest perfume
infuse my instincts with your imbued woman wisdom
your silver tendrils enfold the sent suspended wishes
delivered on wings in prayers of innocent pleas to thee
found weeping against the night’s ebony emptiness
you bless their broken promises with gifts of hope
as you fade from my respite of morning’s vision
erased in the glow of sunrises drowning drumbeat
heaven still waltzes in your arms amid stars opulence
as does the kiss of dew upon delicate lips of roses
