As Once I Was Before

What?

You think you’re f’king right?

You think that flag you’re fighting for makes this f’king tight?

He’s dying.

He’s not more than a f’king child.

And yes I’m f’king crying as I’m here watching his light go out.

I shot him.

In the stomach; my aim was poor.

But I’m not a f’king murderer and am not gonna force him through the door.

I’ll hold his hand, look in his eyes until he dies and be a f’king human as once I was before.
