As On the Ground Their Tears Are Laid

When terror strikes, and people killed
All hearts are turned, and purpose willed
A need to let the families know
We weep, we care, we love them so!

With teddy bears, and flowers bound
And candles lit, sit all around
The piles build up, a tribute made
As on the ground their tears are laid.

Another way to show you care
If you can’t travel, or be there
Reach out in your community
Kneel, say a prayer for unity.

Go out, and smile to all you meet
With open heart, and soul, to greet!

Hi Betty, So much - far too much - sorrow in the world today - for killing fields abound everywhere. News is such that I seldom watch any more! I need no more angst in this stage of my life! Prayers seem to go unanswered and I have seen and experienced too much of this repetitive and pointless obscene slaughter to want more! I weary - along with much of the world, on what happens far too frequently! When will it end and will 'we' ever learn? Fondest regards Denis.

Thank you so much Denis, I am so glad you steered me to this sight. I am enjoying the people I have met and really loving the contests. Hope you and Pauline are enjoying the cooler weather. Betty
