"as I Snooze, I Lose, the News"

When I sit down to watch the news,
I am always determined not to snooze.

At my age not much time in earth to lose,
To waste at all in an easy chair snooze.

Forever about oil spills on Fox news,
I sense myself falling into a snooze.

It seems our earth is destine to lose,
It’s been ten minutes since I’ve snoozed.

One day I’ll awake from a quick snooze,
From earth departing as heaven I choose.

Those recliner naps refresh and rejuvenate some so that they can get up and go again...Great way to present the topic..Thanks for the honor of winning in your contest..I know that it is hard to choose winners when there are so many good entries...May your gift expand like a "Spiraling Universe" and touch on the lives of many in a positive way in the years to come..Sara

John, even dolphins are dying and there are many endangered species that can only be found in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. That's why the Noah's Ark project is so important. God bless you for your concerns about sea life. Love, Carolyn

Though I cannot snooze while watching the news, its contents do make me wish I could choose to depart from Earth to heaven, John. Congratulations on your win in the contest. Forgive me for not catching this poem earlier;been busy with the Noah's Ark project. Thanks so much for my placement in your contest! Love, Carolyn

very good!! I always force myself to see the ends. of things. DVR is a godsend for me. I keep nodding off and then I rewind, snooze, rewind, snooze rewind. sometimes it takes me a whole hour to see a ten minute end. hahaha.

Snoozing is one of my favorite times of the day. We have to take those naps to stay awake. This is right on point. Blessings, Joseph

Just saw your other comment. I am bad with computers and did not even realize there was a difference between spell check or doing it by defnition, whatever you were saying there. I feel really inadequate (not even sure I spelled THAT word right) I lost half my teaching hours at a small private adult school for ESL and now I need to look for online stuff to do and I do not know enough to feel qualified. Not a good feeling! Bye again, Andrea

john, for me the first spelling looked better, privilege. There are quite a few words that stump me, however. That is just one that seemed easy when I saw the two spellings. I hope it was right! well, just here for a second and I need to get to school. See ya later! andrea

I am finally getting to bed. YOu would think I would be in bed by now after only four hours of sleep last night. haha. When you say verb tenses, what do you mean? Certain verbs, perhaps, like lay and lie? That is something I could blog about. Spell check is worthless I have found. There are too many words that it will not catch becuase we can spell a word that exists and the spell checker won't realize we did a mistake. If I wrote Loose for lose, spell checker won't catch it! bye now! andrea

VERy cute. That kind of stuff puts me to snoozing too!!! Hope you don't mind me pointing out a commonly misunderstood word. Lose is what you want here. Loose means not tight fitting. I was thinking of doing a blog on spellings most often confused by people. What do you think? Luv,Andrea
