As I Lay On Deaths Pillow

Moving along through this life I've been handed
Not one of my choice, one that on top of me landed
Making the best of it trying to be strong
Keeping my humanity while trudging along
Keeping my chin up, taking pride in whatever I do.
Aware of my enemies, keeping friends down to just a few
Remembering my lessons and what I was taught
REmembering to cling to what can't be bought.
Watching others judge while they are judged by another
Why is it so hard to accept the differences in each other
If we did then this world may be able to one day start
To build each other up instead of tearing humanity apart.
As for me And where I am destined to go
I will continue on letting the good in me show..
Then in this life for the very last time
When my purpose is served I can write my last rhyme
When it is my turn to rest on deaths pillow peacefully I shall lay
No matter the mistakes I made along the way

I enjoyed the rhyme, the flow and the content. Good job - so much emotion released ... CayCay
