As I Lay
As I lay here
I’m wondering if your
With someone else
Leaving me here lifeless
And scared…
As I lay here,
I quiver with fear just thinking
Of you getting smashed in
A head-on-collision…
As I lay here,
I slowly start giving up on
Hope, waiting for that someday
When you’ll be with me for
Eternity.
As I lay here,I whisper to myself,
“He’s never coming back. Give up
And move on with your life.”
As I lay here once again. happier then ever before, in the arms
Of someone who is dearest to my heart… I start to think
Back on how you hurt me and left me in my own pool
tears to die.
As I lay there, I would think back on how you would hold me,
love me unconditionally and show
me the sun setting on the hills sitting on the park bench together...
But... those days are over now, and I have someone else
Who will won't leave me for someone else.
Someone who loves me very much.
These days I count with him are a never ending life of smiles.
And I never wanted anything more then to be loved and held
In the arms of the one who keeps my heart safe with his.
