As Her Beauty Rivals Red, Red Roses

As Her Beauty Rivals Red, Red Roses

Gift unto her red, red roses
And perhaps a kiss or two
In her portrait she reposes
With her beauty through and through.

Dare the dawn admire her beauty
For morn needs its fairest queen
To live and love is life's duty
Her eyes bright shimmering green.

As moon's glow highlights her dancing
And heavens above her twirls
One's mind thinks of sweet romancing
Her face and long flowing curls.

Gift unto her red, red roses
And perhaps a kiss or two
In her portrait she reposes
With her beauty through and through.

Romanticism, ( Images, Beauty, Romance And Dreams )

Note:
I have seen this vision on lonely nights
Its promise a true treasure to desire
Those falling tears, at its vanishing sight
Breathes as does sadness at funeral pyres.

Note- I did find that much needed inspiration today....

Gift unto her red, red roses, the whole poem is a gift to whom ever reads it.. So much beauty, so easy on the senses

Thank you my friend. I chose to direct the poem to the beauty of the opposite sex. As from a man's point of view. In that by Nature and by genetics men as visual creatures in regards to attraction to the opposite sex. With the truth that women are blessings gifted unto mankind by God. A treasure to behold, to love, to adore and be faithful to in marriage. In the poem the subject is indeed one very beautiful lady I met in my youth. God bless.

Robert, Seems symbolism ties nicely with your poem's flower. The red red rose for true romance and love, a white rose for innocence & purity. Yellow for friendship and joy, and in Victorian times jealousy. Lavender rose for splendor, and mystery. And so on. -Richard

Thank you my friend. What would life be without the beauty of Nature's resplendent and majestic colors? Or if we had not the rose and its intimate association with romance.. Certainly a very dull and drab scenery it would be. And one absolutely uninspiring in my estimation. God bless..
