As a Matter of Cheese

There are many elitist cheeses. They are all taste bud teases, for none of them pleases like cheddar. Yes, I’m a fan of a few, the asiago, brie and bleu. But honestly I prefer cheddar, don't you? It’s the humble cheese of the masses. It separates the classes. The choice of any young lad or lass is cheddar. Whatever cheese you can name, my refrain remains the same. This is a cute cheesy entry, I like how you approached this with 'perkiness' - great fun to read. Yep, love cheddar, certainly buy and cook with it the most, but I've yet to meet a cheese I didn't adore, with the exception of many years ago at work when someone had brought cheese that smelled the rotten feet! Aghh a cheddar girl, I have tried many cheese's but always come back to cheddar, the stronger the better. There was a cheese contest a while back but I failed to spot the 20 line max so had to ditch that idea, The Great Cheddar cheese Robbery. Good luck. Tom.

your cheddar tale is great! I found it earlier. After posting this, I was curious about other entries and found the one you speak of. I enjoyed it! You are an excellent rhyming story teller! Some of my favorite poems are ones I wrote for contests and somehow didn't get them in! :D
