My husband was an artist and we used to have art shows on our wrap-around porch on Martha's Vineyard with all his paintings on the walls and along the floor. We had lemonade and cookies and it was lots of fun.
All around the walls
The multi colors sail,
Unfurled for all to see
And judge and buy –
Or maybe not!
They catch the eye
Of passers-by
Who come to stare
And have some wine.
Perhaps a bite,
And socialize a bit –
Or maybe not!
Some stop and take the time
To look and really see,
To travel ‘round
The sea of sails
And find their muse –
Or maybe not!
We’ll meet new friends,
Some browsers,
Perhaps some artists, too.
We’ll have some fun
And sell a lot –
Or maybe not!
