Art of the Relationship

It was a nice day together
  We had fun, didn't we

You know, you're an unusual person
I feel that way about you too

Maybe we can see each other again
  That would be cool

Well, like see ya around, I guess
Yeah, like ~ Hey, what's your name...

That last line made incredible sense to me. I have been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

You again made me laugh. What do you mean, spending a day with a girl without knowing her name. It is not possible or maybe it is!

Ha, ha. In America in the late '60's and the early '70's, it may have been the norm for those who are 'Boomers' today. No kidding. Frightening, isn't it? -- America was actually scarier then than it is now, in my opinion. :) gw

Caught me out as I too frequently must ask that question! My wife once explained to my daughter that I called all women, "Darling" because I couldn't remember their name! Aloha! Rico

Gershon, Such a nice notion in your poem. Perhaps before Instagram.., cellphones, or COVID lockdown. Working up the courage to ask a nameless someone to the couple's skate. Thanks for reminding me of good times. -Richard

Ha, ha! I look back and (mostly) shudder in horror... Different strokes for different folks, as they say... Thanks for your encouragement, Richard! Peace, Gershon
