Ha, ha. In America in the late '60's and the early '70's, it may have been the norm for those who are 'Boomers' today. No kidding. Frightening, isn't it? -- America was actually scarier then than it is now, in my opinion. :) gw

Caught me out as I too frequently must ask that question! My wife once explained to my daughter that I called all women, "Darling" because I couldn't remember their name! Aloha! Rico

Gershon, Such a nice notion in your poem. Perhaps before Instagram.., cellphones, or COVID lockdown. Working up the courage to ask a nameless someone to the couple's skate. Thanks for reminding me of good times. -Richard
