Art of Deceit

It’s interesting how others learn the art of taking advantage of others
And those who are not aware
It will easily destroy
Especially those who have not learned the patterns of that deceitful language
They have only learned the ability to love
The ability to give
But if someone has learned the art of being deceitful
Please hold on
Don’t let it consume you
Don’t allow it change you
Just recognize it for what it is
It’s not your fault
It’s the situation
You are not crazy
You are not stupid
You were just unaware
You can’t be stupid at something you never learned
Because you yourself grew up in a way where you were shielded from that
Protected even
Some were not that lucky
And some because they never knew real love
molded into that
And now they can’t get themselves out
Because it has become a part of who they are
And whether they are conscious of it or not
They are the only ones that can pull themselves out of it
To unteach themselves
Of what they were never protected from
But you cannot be caught in the crossfires
Because if you do that to yourself
You may not be strong enough to pull yourself out
It takes discipline
It takes emotional training
Its something that is learned through time
Its not for the weak
Sometimes all you have to do is just let go
Know that you cannot fix or change everyone
Don’t ever attach yourself to the outcome that you can’t control
Disappointment can consume you
For the rest of your life
If you allow it to
Just let go
