Around the Corner

More awe-inspiring than the universe,
More mysterious than death,
Darker than the secrets of the heart,
More tangled than the labyrinthine mind
Is a mere moment in time,
A moment that lurks
Around the corner;
A moment impregnated by fate,
Nourished by time --
A moment of jubilation or
A moment of woe...
Time will tell,
But we mere mortals
succumbed to the whim of the moment
Wrought with mishaps!

It behooves us
to be wary of the moment
that lurks around the corner!
