Army Chef - Sergeant Schmo

Sergeant Schmo was chef in an Army mess.

   He excelled in concocting S.O.S.,

      But troops preferred M.R.E.s,

They were very hard to please!

Don't know what S.O.S. is? Take a guess!

(P.S.: Ask a veteran nearest you what S.O.S. is - the answer will astound you!)

aha, I looked it up and then I saw you had told Tom the answer down here already. hahaha. I call it beef gravy and love it over mashed potatoes as well!! but knowing how the govt pinches pennies, probably it's not very good grade meat!

I'm stumped Robert, it doesn't mean the obvious I gathered that. Limericks' are all over soup at the moment. You cant beat a bit of humour. Tom.

Haha, thanks for the heads up Robert, when you're hungry you'll eat anything.

Tom, in the American forces SOS translates to a gloppy mess thrown on your tray in the mess hall called "Sh*t On a Shingle"! Now you know! But I happen to love the stuff - it is a gravy with hamburger or sausage mixed in and spread over biscuits.
