Arms of a Shadow
I look fine on the outside…
But I’m crying and crumbling to
pieces on the inside…
I can’t get over it, I’ve tried….
This hits me so hard I go insane…
I can’t go without you,
You are always on my brain.
You would hold me, never wanting
to leave…
Where did that go? I miss it so…
We are so far apart, but you remain
in my heart…
You gave me the news… I had no
Idea what to do.
I had no clue was it real? Was it
true?
I fall backwards to fall into the arms
of a shadow,
Noticing my heart and core felt so
shallow.
Looking behind, but nothing to find.
I sit on my bed …
Every moment I dread.
Beads of sorrow fall upon my face,
The slow and dreadful pace..
I say this has no faze to me,
But really…this is killing me…
The beads become larger and
faster…
I think of you and how we shared
our laughter and smiles.
I’m not going to see you for a while.
I feel something gently glide across
my face,.
I look up to see your hand.
My vision was blurry due the tears in
my hazel eyes.
Saying I don’t care isn’t nothing but a
lie.
I look up to see my love, my life..
I always want you by my side.
My head falls on your shoulder,
Your arms go around me…
To fall asleep so soundly…
With my heart feeling shallow...
I yet again fall into the arms of a
shadow
