Arizona
I live in the great
western state of Arizona.
She is beautiful to me.
Her mountains are high,
and they touch the sky.
Her rivers are wide
and full of fish.
The deserts are cold, and hot,
all on the same day,
nearly at the same time.
She is not for the faint of heart,
but for the tall,
the strong,
and the ever...
faithful.
History at every turn,
time revealed in layers,
shells on the beach,
now only dreams,
that seem to say
"Come, and stay",
"life is okay!".
The stars in the night, are bright.
The angels sing in God's light.
He watches us as we sleep.
He watches us as we toil,
on the road to our rest,
and fight to be the best.
In the day,
there are birds, and animals,
only seen by those that take
the time to watch.
The deer prance, the rabbits dance,
the wild pigs walk around every edge,
of the Grand Canyon,
and pledge to eat the weeds,
as fast as the goats.
I love Arizona,
because... I love Arizona.
