Aria of Darkness
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It can kill, or it can chill, at best can thrill,
the darkness of the night your choosing.
Pitch black, clouded over deserts nights,
nigh freezing, the darkness of the sands.
Arctic, Antartica, nigh six months of darkness,
illuminated north and south by Aurora,
a night time extravaganza a nighttime thrill.
East winds break the silence of darkness,
their arias, sopranos, tenors, bass, racket makers,
terrorising, as thunder drums, lightning flashes!
their chilling orchestra enhances their endeavour
to freeze the soul, hearts stop beating, chilling!
The aria of darkness rolling across oceans,
heed not you jolly Jack Tars, heed not!
The sirens of the deep in darkness do not sleep,
they cloud your thinking, your ship? Sinking!
Their arias will guide you to that perpetual slumber!
Heed not their arias of the darkness, tis how they hunt!
Opera soloist arias from their lips, a thrill!
The only ones that will see you home
through the darkness of the night.
