Aquamarina

submerged in a watery grave lies a mermaid from Atlantis her skin glowed a luminous light one small prick from a pink shell and she crystallized into a vapor tail fins like billowing scarves and pearlescent aquamarine scales flowing hair entwined with a seaweed crown appeared once again above the water's surface She sifts through the sand collecting stones and brittle bones to leave necklaces for small children who dream her into life.
