April Gave Herself to Me

Dear April gave herself to me;
May probably will as well--
Although neither know the other
And sweet June will never tell!

But Summer cannot know of them,
It would put me in a spot.
Besides, my heart does long for her--
For summer's really hot!

M :-)

Until I get caught lol. No, just a poet with a very vivid imagination. But don't tell April, May, June or Summer. I've got a good thing goin and I'd hate to lose it I'll be dropping be your crib again real soon. Meanwhile, feel free to drop in--hell, you can crash on the couch if like--with stacks of poems to read--and some brandy, you'll need it :)

Thank you Ana. I hope life's treating you fair. I very much appreciate your reading this poem and for taking the time to so graciously comment. Hugs ;-)

Cute! I'm rather partial to June myself. I may warn her of your relationships with April and May so that I may have her all to myself.

LOL. I figured you--with your Canadian wit--would get and appreciate this fun little wordplay. Dude, I'm serious. Do not mention April or May to June, cuz that would ruin my chances with summer, and she's hot! Now I ask you, honestly. Ever read anything that off-the-cuff clever and funny? No. Go soup mail everyone you know and share that--priceless :-)

Thank you, Lucilla my wise and witty friend. I told Richard not to tell April anything May or June, cuz that would ruin my chances with summer, and she's hot! Get it? Ha Ha ;-)

That's awesome Dave! I typically post one poem each night, depending. It sure helps knowing that someone is actually out there, reading the words, the thoughts--the window to my twisted soul. Maybe not twisted, but confused a bit Thanks again :-)

Connie, my friend, how have you been? I just felt like lightening things up a bit with this. It popped in my head from God knows where. But, I'm glad you liked it. It's a fun wordplay, at least. Have a great weekend. xo :-)
