A mad senior gray haired granny lady wearing cat eye glasses, pearls and curlers in her hair in an old fashioned yellow kitchen standing holding a rifle. Home defense. Mature woman angry face stock images, royalty-free photos and pictures

Apprehension a nasty culprit
Putters outside my window, that mud pit
Pulls, tugs, draws inward
Rushing towards scarred vineyard
Emotions fresh, newly healed over
Hoping to not once again spillover
Every time my being is hit
Nudged to stir emotions by some half-wit
Somehow, they stick in the knife and turn
Impale the tender taciturn
Opening the door to boiling emotions
Notions leave, fill me with Holy Spirit's devotions

When fears and apprehensions come to plague us, we fall into a kind of bewilderment, not knowing what could be done. They pull us and tug us. Calling God and seeking divine guidance is all we can do. The image looks rather hilarious.

Yes, our emotions can do a number on us, Valsa. I agree God can help us overcome all our problems whatever they are (in the way of personal internal problems). I am glad you liked the image. How would we like to just shoot those negative emotions down. Sara K

Dear Sara, your poem is a raw, riveting cry from the soul. I felt every tug, every twist of the knife, every sacred flicker of hope. Yes, only our Lord can shoo them away and protect us. The picture is classic! Blessings, My Dear Sara, Daniel

Daniel, your understanding of my work is encouraging. Only those who have been through some negative emotions which are only made worse by those who don't understand can relate to what a person is feeling. Thanks for dropping by with a nice review of my work. Sara K

This is a God send. I'm learning to be silent, because rage hurts my heart. I know that one day I will be a silent old man. And will only speak when asked. But for right now; This piece reminds me of myself. Currently Turning the other check, And forgiving and forgetting. Soup mail.

Yes, keeping emotions bottled up helps destroy our health. We have to have means of venting that doesn't involve holding it in nor hurting another person or pet. LOL..There are times I vent on the other person who is hurting me but I mostly try to not react in a negative way. Thanks for the visit. God does not tell us to forget but only to forgive. We will remember what has happened to us in a negative form for a longgggggggg time. We can forgive and keep remembering but not with all the negative emotions attached. Sara K
