Anxious Thoughts

Everyday starts with immense fear
With tears and drops of sorrow
After that your mind clears
You move on with life

Until sudden apprehension rips you part
Harming you and sending storm clouds
Deep into the abyss of your heart
Tattooing images deep into your mind

Past experiences will carry for hours
If you're like me it isn't over
At the end of the agonizing day...
Restless and deprived of any positivity

It starts to happen all over again
Emotions drowns your mind with hate
So you read poems like these to relax
And by "relax" to keep you afloat

I hope this poem gave you insight
Shawshank redemption comes to life
We all need a blue crystallized beach
Greeted by an imaginary friend, in open arms

I made up such a place, a vast world in my mind, already when I was very young and needed it. It's a castle on a beach, a sort of Shawshank Redemption yeah. I still go there when life becomes to hectic or hard...http://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/dream_795266
