Anxiety of Seeing Nothingness

Anxiety Of Seeing Nothingness Been gazing at the stars dim and bright dazed and yet spellbound Through scattered clouds blinding lights penetrating dulled senses Dream of yesteryear began to caress eroded perceptions profound Far from what I sensed reality might seem and not false pretenses Filled with illusions invoking mind to surrender aged wisdom found Fearfully emerge amidst the darkest kingdom devoid of fragrances Penned: 2/13/2022 5:25 p.m. Lake Worth Florida USA

Anselmo, I love the sense of movement in this poem. It takes the reader by the arm and marches him/her to its riverting conclusion. Simply wonderful! With all good wishes, Paul

That is true, and like you said, it is more comforting when there is a radiant, enduring scene waiting after one's last breath. I believe that the spirit is eternal. Many thanks once again for the warmth in your comment Valsa!

If we see nothing beyond, it is so distressing ! The thought of a world of bliss waiting to receive us compensates for all our trials in life.... ! I always see wisdom in your poetry, dear friend !

There are those who have assumptions that after death, nothing else happens and then lights out, making them feel uncomfortable and even fearful. I believe in the spirit's endless journey...ab

Well, as they say -- Seeing is Believing. 'SOMEthing to that,' I think. ~ Gershon

Yes, and there are those fearful, of finding out that after death, there is just utter silenced darkness and not the scene of a welcoming, blissful and radiant paradise. You have the right notion, Gershon! Thanks...ab
