Ant Footles

What Ant Troops Surrender

Field ants
yield pants

Field Ants as Farmers

Field ants
yield plants

Jack’s pet peeve

“Black ants!”
Jack rants

All the Survivalist could Find

Black ant -
snack scant

For an Ant Vacation

Black ants
pack pants

“Run Run Run” & “Creep Up Fast”

Thief Ants’
Chief chants

What Mac Won’t Put with Cheese

Black ants?
Mac can’t!

Good Thing to Know about a Restaurant

We can’t
see ants

When Ants climb

Higher slants
tire ants

What He Doesn’t Know Won’t Kill Him

Pete can’t
eat ants

An antsy set of footle which definitely should have placed higher. ~ I've been reading the other winning entries, Andrea....I have always been under the impression that both lines of a footle have to rhyme....appears that I am wrong! ~ Regards // paul

I believe that a footle without rhyme loses much of its allure and demotes it from 1st to 2nd division. Had it been my form, I'd certainly put my *foot* down...ciao

No, Paul, as Brian insinuates in his blogs, people just started doing there own way of rhyming them, and some are not rhyming them at ALL. I find that incredibly lazy, and if I were the one who started footles, I would not accept it.

To compose using this style takes a nimble brain. You have a some great talent, and to some measure, we are your family. Keep it up!

You seem to excel in writing footles. I can't do it. Yours is splendid. Hugs.
