When we're young we look for answer from our parents
They tells us to look for the answers in God
When we're young adults we look for the answers in our friends
We look for the answers in the bottom of a bottle
We look for answers in the drugs we take
When we are fully grown we look for answers in our spouses
We look for answers in our profession
We look for the answers in the books we read
We’re always looking for answers
Answers to all the questions that can’t be answered
We spend a life time looking
But the answers are in the faces of our children
The eyes of our lovers
The lives we’ve touched
The friends we made
The bad part of life we’ve tasted
The knowledge we’ve gained
And in the knowing that the answers aren’t what’s important
Because the answers are in the lifes we’ve lived.
