Another Groundhog Day

Take that long walk along the creek
where the ducks chose to hide
won't be long now., let it flow
leavin' nothing to decide.

Give back those days in mist, a sun's last ray
lost to wind and left to time
soft voice traveled on my mind
tomorrow's just another groundhog day.

Lookin out wide window at a frosted place
fingers unwound from soft bluegrey lace
song swimmin in your brain.. does it matter
or did it ever
though you still see a lovely face..

Wonder now, was there anything left to say
look down and remember
that smiling face of December
and tomorrow's just another groundhog day.

Wistful evocative images that captivate the imagination. The ‘groundhog’ refrain is very effective.Well done! Raven.

Just another groundhog day, just another day to measure the wait for spring, so poignant and melancholy of the things lost, yet still searching~

Hello Quote The Raven, Ground Hog Day a ceremony held in Wiarton, in the park. Many people come from all over to see. If the ground hog's shadow will appear. To find out if there will be an early spring. I do not believe this to be true. Mother nature decides if Spring is early or not. Enjoy your day my friend.
