Another Day
Another day, another slow hour dragging day,
One small step to my future, an even bigger leap, to my grave,
If age is nothing but a number then why, celebrate my birthday,
Besides, I feel a lot younger than I look today,
I wished for a new time capsule, that'd be great,
Isn't it sad how I age but the sky, stays the same,
The oceans forever blue but my hair, becomes grey,
I miss being a kid, it's the least I could say, I pray, I may,
Skydive, someday, see the wonders of the world, before I wander away,
Use the tools in the shed my wife always wanted, to give, to Mrs.Ray,
With work in the morning, I can't drink the night away,
Unless I ask the misses, yes, with permission, it's okay,
So I bud-light and corona the night away, by the bay,
The fold out chair, my daughter claire brought me yesterday,
With Chinese food on the way, today couldn't and wouldn't, ever be a better day.
