Notes About The Poem

It's been raining the last several days. This morning started with a cloudless sky which prompted this poem. Enjoy! some of you may even relate.

Another Day

Another Day
By Franklin Price

Another day, the month of May
Soon coming to a close
Summer's near, it's almost here
The sun this morning rose

The sky is blue, ground washed anew
Clouds not in the air
God refrained and stopped the rain
This morning time is fair

Think I'll go out and walk about
Enjoy the freshness there
It's Saturday, week end's to play
It's time to leave my lair

Head for the door, across the floor
A voice I hear quite clear
Before you go, want you to know
There's honey do's my dear

My brain is quick, I think I'm sick
Some fresh air now I choose
Will make me well I'm here to tell
Then I'll get on those honey do's
