mother earth

Baby Jesus
wondrous birth
dancing fun
around the sun
two thousand
times
twenty-five
spinning change
without rest
aging all
except yourself
at the stroke
of midnight magic
punctual back
to start new round
dressed in season
colored gowns
bridal white
to yellow browns
all in fun of change
united
celebrating
life's surprises
popping sounds
champagne bubbles
streamers sparkling
balloons flying
moon and stars
with brightened smiles
wishing all
the peace desired
in the love of
God
