Slushy doesn't come naturally to me

I certainty think twice about going public with it.

But it's Annie's birthday on the 20th July...

it's been a bitch of a year, but she's still here.

I used AI (kill me now) to set this to music for her...

The results were astounding and frightening in

equal measure.

If I ever figure out how to share it as an mp3, I will...

Don't hold your breath!

Can I find the words to say, just what you mean to me today And what you’ve meant to me, throughout these forty years gone by We first met at that meet n greet, a low brick wall became our seat And then you seemed to find me sweet and my heart skipped a beat We lived so many miles apart; each inch a mile in my heart But I’d have walked or stole a horse and cart And letters, phone calls, weekend drives, sealed a bond in our two lives A hundred miles would not keep us apart I’m no Keats, I’m no Shelly; I’m no poet off the tele So let me say a few words in a quite straightforward way I love you okay And I love you more with every passing day For we were always meant to be, it’s in the stars, our destiny It’s me for you and you for me… eternally I know this is true… My heart beats just for you And so today, my birthday girl, who still has my heart in a whirl Without you my whole life would soon unfurl I love you, you see… Anne, I hope that you can see That there’s no way you can rid yourself of me I’m no Keats, I’m no Shelly; I’m no poet off the tele So let me say a few words in a quite straightforward way I love you okay And I love you more with every passing day

Don’t you just hate it when you type a long reply and Soup says it’s too long. My usual hack wouldn’t work, so, regrets, I’ll just say thanks so much, Deb. Annie was well chuffed. Your birthday is the same day as my sister’s. Me 6 July, Sister and you 18 July, Annie 20 July… so we’re all crabs then

Thanks, Tom. Her first ever love song and her first ever ‘birthday girl’ balloon… I scored a double top today… she was chuffed as nuts ;-)

Thanks, GW. Annie’s been through the mill this year, so it’s nice to find I can still surprise her. ;-)

Thanks, Bill. Funny how the poem looks a bit ‘jagged’ but the music that the robots made with it flowed surprisingly well. Glad you enjoyed. Terry

No greater gift could you offer her. You already gave her your heart. ;-)

Thanks, Lin. Annie was struck dumb for a few seconds, but she was well chuffed.
