I feigned to not see Duke Caboom
as rode, he did, across my room
and filled my gut with instant doom
his motorcycle - silent!
my fear so waxing violent
and there she was - far from her lamp
Bo Peep, with sheep, that kidless tramp
her creeping movements caused a cramp
a ghoulish undertaking
my Disney PJ’s shaking
behind was Forky, shad’wing Bo
inhuman movements, odd and slow
and ‘Bonnie’ written neath his toes
his gait was strange and swerving
the sight was quite unnerving
then nightlight glow confirmed my fear
the gliding shape of Buzz Lightyear
his tight flight suit worn ear-to-ear
with gruesome grin askance
I nearly messed my pants
but …
what was it finally brought my fall?
one voice-assisted Woody doll
thus nearing with his creepy crawl
my mouth a-tasting tannic
I’d reached a full-on panic …
the toys were moving, manic
those toys … were … MOVING!!
~ this is a very musical form I created called “cinqopet” (pronounced sing-ko-pay) and I’ve written quite a few now as it’s a fun form to write in and an enjoyable form to read - I hope you like it ~
