Notes About The Poem

Animal Spirits Within:A Collaboration With Darren White:

Unnoticed by common men,
The wolf pack wanders
That abandoned, for difference be,
The white she-wolf, in their fear they did flee.

In the deepest dark of night...
Quick, silent leap of fright.
What drove the pack to stray,
Will save the white wolf from prey.

Magical white shines brightly in eagle’s eye.
Drawing its attention, he now lands close by.
At first, there was the caution gale,
Followed by a cold snap trail.

This unlikely pair, between them, grew,
A new pack... through green and blue,
Through Earth and Sky, together at last,
Like the days of old, far back in the past.

As Eagle soars with grace so free,
White wolf awaits under a shady tree.
Fur and feather joined forever,
Their love so strong, it shall never tether.

Beautifully done to both of you. Wonderful imagery. The she wolf abandoned because she was different by her pack was accepted in spite of her immense difference by the eagle. Now they are together a friendship that won't be broken. Excellent. Good stuff. I love it. Wonderful story line. God Bless, JB

I love the poem Budgie, it's such an unusual couple, so beautiful... Opposites attract, don't they?
