~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s taken a lifetime to write the song Legends of joy upon the mountain peaks Evoking rhapsodies from festive weeks Written by one whose always been headstrong It’s taken such strength to write each soft verse As the silence reaches past my heart’s chase Shadows of my soul slumber with disgrace Where the story of my heart seems a curse It’s taken strength to sing despite my tears Reaching past the lyrics with words sincere Now that I’m older, everything seems clear Walking past dread with angels unawares
Regina I love the last stanza especially because it paints courage despite tears and that is hopeful. Love this.
I like the fact that you admit this taking a lifetime to write and that you have been headstrong. Age and hindsight do make this very clear as to what was. I for myself fully believe that I have actually met my guardian angel. God has his angels literally everywhere and they do help us past dread.
