Angels or Faeries?

I am often amazed by the similarities and differences between angels and faeries.
Thus, I pose the thought that the two might be related.
They both have roots in ancient, European storytelling.

I often imagined some faeries lurking in the greenery and around trees.
Such visions gave me tons of smiles when I felt down,
But others imagined how and why my imagination carried me

Away and around the bend, all over the town
In my head, up its own digital hillsides.
I often imagined some faeries lurking in the greenery and around the tree.

So nice it was to stretch out with fantasies on a tablecloth upon the ground
In my pastoral world with the sun coming down at the end of the day
Such visions gave me tons of smiles when I felt down.

Intellectuals challenge the fantasies of dreamers who live in such a way
Because angels and faeries seem but children of the imagination
In my pastoral world with the sun coming down at the end of the day

Faeries certainly represent incantation in green, blue, and red
Angels represent the holy life in white, full of light
Because angels and faeries seem but children of the imagination

They were juxtaposed in Piemonte the other day, the angels of the church
With the faeries of the shopping mall, like sweet sisters of the extraterrestrial world, the colorful ones on earth, and the golden-white ones in the heavens.

In my mind, the two danced to great heights
As they were like sisters, arm in arm, playing games with my mind
Angels represented the holy life in white, full of light, whilst faeries
Represented playfulness, peculiar preliminary writing prompts of prime importance.
