Smothered heart,
Eyes colored by tears,
Angel gazed into them,
" Fly with me" he said.
" No, drown with me." she said and escaped.

Such a beautiful words... it seems you are describing angels of death who want to take your soul with him....something like that......

Your poem is full of both ache and beauty. The sadness hits hard. You are obviously a sensitive soul, as many of us are. You have fit so much into five short lines. I like the ambiguity of the last word... escaped... haunting.... I hope you post more, Madonna. Welcome to Soup.
