Angel of the Seas

Angel of the seas Dancing in the flame beneath a candles flickered light Moving between shadows on the floor My every thought now focused on the beauty I have seen Standing present on a distant shore Caressing waves do drench her skin, to shimmer soft and sweet As walls I find about me steadfast true With only but this window do I witness every need This vision that does flood my mind of you Delicate the grains of sand which capture where you are Upon the golden wings of whispered seas While I alas, do fight the ways that keep me ever gone Now praying as I fall upon my knees Such beauty on the shoreline with the breezes in your hair Feel this love which flows upon the wind There atop a rainbow near a lighthouse proudly stands Beginnings that I cherish once again Cast apart these shackles which so tightly hold me down Bound about my feet so I shan’t flee Solid is the lock it seems now forged of hardened dreams Yours is but the love which holds the key Lift me with your crescent smile as bright as any moon Place your eyes upon this tear stained face Take me by the hand and lead me far away from here Hand in hand along the sand to trace We shall leave our footprints on the beach that you call home Rows of two now waiting out the tide Open up your wings so I may fall into your heart Lock my love away so deep inside Show me the enchantment that shall free my lonely soul Teach on the waves of waters pure Hold me as I long for you my angel of the seas Endless as these oceans to endure Yep, I am in ocean and beach mode tonight. :)

A stunningly beautiful poem, Chris. That's about as generic a testimony as I can give you. Us lesser poets can learn a lot from a master poet. Beautiful title as well. Is Romantico your alter ego's name? Love this poem though. Many blessings of love and peace to you.

I love ocean and beach mood...They create the best of beautiful poems...written by the right pen...So so beautiful'Open up your wings so I may fall into your heart'...May your angels of the seas...keep inspiring you...so I will read you onceagain on my return.

Thank you my sweet friend. I love the ocean, there is an enchantment that I feel when I venture to the sea. It is so beautiful and mesmerizing to me. I love the rhythm of the waves and the endless skies. So much beauty, truly inspiring. I always enjoy when you visit my poetry, because your words are always another form of inspiration to me.

I know sometimes "beautiful poem" sounds so generic, but when I read poems like this, is the style I love to read, and is the first thought comes to mind! :) Well done!

Wow! Chris wonderful piece of work, reminded me so much of our ocean and beaches, I could stand for hours watching the waves crashing against the Rocks and sand etc. even though the beach is just down the road from us we just don't bother but it is there if we want to, loved reading this one Chris, take care......,Vera
