Notes About The Poem

Sadness, Loneliness, Alone, Sad, Portrait, Woman, Girl

And Yet

When I was a young school girl, I would walk along reading a book; and occasionally my feet would trip, so, I would read in a quiet secret nook. Of course, this made me a target, and occasionally bullies liked to seek me out; those were days I will never forget ever, yet, would I have become this writer- without? __________________________ February 12, 2022 Poetry/Quatrain/And Yet Copyright Protected, ID 02-1429-673-12 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Submitted to the Standard contest, A Strand (1072) sponsor, Brian Strand, Judged 02/13/2022 First Place

Well, Constance, all of our experiences shape and form us and sharpen our poetic pencil. Would that the roads we took were always smooth and flower filled.
