And Then We Sit

And then we sit
And then we feel

The truth of our lies
The reality of real

The silence brings
A deafening clatter

Where feelings collide
Where the truth don't matter

And then we sit
And then we feel

The stillness of body
The spinning wheel

Darker thoughts fester and grow
The mind creates doubts of all we know

And then we cry
And then we scream

For life's painful lies
Are so very real
