I'm hoping this image is worth coming here for because the poem certainly isn't!
We were so in love from an early age What happened my dear where did it go wrong? A sweetheart you were the girl next door From the first time I met you it didn't take long To be head over heels and lost in your charms I could not believe when you agreed to a date You told me to ask for your father's permission I got a cold hard stare as I promised not to be late We went out to clubs and danced until twelve I suddenly realized I said I'd have you home by eleven We rushed straight home to find your father waiting He was fixed and gazing up as if praying to heaven I knew from that moment I had done my dash He raised his hand after my look it had dropped So he spoke instead through clenched teeth at me That was the night our love affair had stopped 3~July~2017 And then it stopped contest Sponsored by: John Lawless
