And Then

And then... It all went black...

 It's kind of funny as I look back...

Everything all for not...

Learning nothing I was taught...

Losing it all on a whim...

Drowning because I refuse to swim...

Sitting in the courthouse lot...

I had never considered getting caught...

I look over the endless sea of regret...

Over the beaches of mounting debt...

I'm self-made and self-lost...

I've been cashing checks but now know the costs...
