This happened.

pregnant pet

                we bet                  she'll                        birth us eight

             or nine                      can't wait                          for pups 

                            we pine                          experienced 

                                           mama                     no drama

                        is expected                                               eight cuties

            mom's duties              halted by                  milk fever              day

 three


          great         
                       changes 
                                           we
                                                       would
                                                                        soon 
                                                                                       see

                                                                              pups indoors
                                                           pee-pee
                                         pours
                        poop
         piles

            bottle       feeding             eight                                   needy


                                     squirming                  tiny

                                    tyrants--but so 

               adorable       while     making          the              house          smell 

                                             deplorable               gotta go

                                                                 I know

                  they're hungry.
