And the Memories Linger On

And The Memories Linger On And the memories linger on. Despite the fact, they’ve gone. Moved onto another place. Moved onto another day. And the memories let me down. Because I can still see this town. Glowing with its latest pride. Glowing whilst I’m hurt inside. And the memories hurt me so. Even though it was long ago. Can still see him smiling here. Can still see him and his long hair. And the memories linger on. And the memories linger on. And the memories cut me up. Friends can say it was tough love. Can’t see how time will pass it by. Can’t see when I’ll stop my cry. And the memories linger on. Despite the fact you’ve gone. And the memories finish here. Because you had to jeer. And the memories finish here. And the memories finish here.
